The STEAM PTO needs your help! There are many opportunities and ways throughout the year to help our school, our teachers and our students. We need parents who will chair committees, and ones who will help chaperone dances and field trips and ones who can lend an hour here or there at the school. And if you can't commit to a donation of your time, we always appreciate monetary donations.
We are currently looking for Board positions and committee chairs for next year! Please nominate yourself or another equally amazing person for one of our positions here.
PTO Committees
PTO Committees
Fundraising (August-September) - Chair needed. This committee works with the Principal to help plan and organize a month-long support drive during the fall semester. This is our only large fundraiser - we do not ask students to sell things.
Swag Sales (Ongoing)- Help inventory, organize, distribute, and sell spirit gear during the year.
Green Team - Green Thumbs NOT required! Work together to keep our school beautiful with small to medium landscape and maintenance projects. The group picks the weekends or early evenings to tackle agreed-upon projects. Tools helpful, but not required. This is a joint committee with East High School.
Candy Gram sales - Help plan and organize the sale of candy grams before school for a few days before the winter holiday break and Valentine's.
Teacher Appreciation/Staff Support (Monthly)- Chair needed - Helps with teacher welcome back breakfast, monthly Teacher Appreciation lunches, and Teacher Appreciation week in May. This is a joint committee with East High School.
School Dances (September and April)- Co-Chair needed. Help plan, organize, and chaperone a fall and spring dance. These are usually held on Friday nights in the gym.
Annual Family dinner (March) - Help plan and organize a dinner (BBQ or spaghetti) that benefits band, choir, and orchestra. This is usually held on a Thursday night and is paired with Green STEAM night.
Restaurant Family Dinner nights (Monthly) - Chair needed - Help plan and organize monthly family dinner nights with local restaurants, some of which are fundraisers.
Yearbook (Ongoing)- Help plan and organize the yearbook for the school. This includes taking and collecting photos to document events throughout the year.
